but I agree, this picture has a stunning atmosphere of mysticism O.o I can't really point the finger on it, but I love the colors and how this smoke like effect plays around her hands....it looks like she is performing some real magic :o

I think it might be the lighting and the grain... It's quite elusive, and enigmatic....
I quite agree with what you've said though, they did take quite a stare-able picture. =P

The pose seems comfortably stiff, as if the model was a mannequin and not human. The aged look to the photo just adds mystery to the overall feeling of the image. Lovely job! And congratulations on the well-deserved DD!
